Bronx Job Fair at Dewitt Clinton High School

Hundreds of people came to a Job Fair at Clinton High School hosted by Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj. There were dozens of companies looking for help, and several job service organizations including the New York State Department of Labor. The NYPD is looking for new people as you can see in the photo above, to become Police officers, School Safety officers, and Traffic Enforcement agents. You can go to NYPDRECRUIT.COM or call 212 RECRUIT to find out just when the next exam will be given, or for more details.

There were over 50 different Bronx businesses lined up for this job fair. Job were various in type, as I listened in on some of the talk between job seeker and possible employer. While there may not have been screams of joy in finding that job they wanted, there was that smile for making a possible future contact, and even that job that was gotten by some.

Resumes were gathered and will be gone over, so if you were one of a hundred who left a resume don't be surprised if the phone ring or you get an e-mail asking you to come in for a complete interview.
